On-the-Job Training Blog: Week 3
Day 9 (February 17, 2025)
For the
ninth day of our OJT is pretty much the same as last time. We scanned documents
but in the that day we also talked with Ma’am Llovido about the system again
for a bit an what we should do and did a mockup layout on the CMS that we will
do. We also did our mentorship plan in order to finally finalize the general overview
on what will be our tasks for the whole on-the-job training. So that’s pretty
much what we did for that day.
Day 10 (February 18, 2025)
For the
tenth day, we scanned documents as usual so for the first half of the day we
scanned documents that sir Russ gave us. There are also OJT students coming
from CSSP that came here in RDE and Ma’am Llovido asked us to introduce
ourselves since we might we meet each other even though will be assigned to
other areas in RDE. Nearing lunch time, we had a meeting with the mentors
together with the staff and the CSSP OJT students and present the general
layout of the CMS. Suggestions were given to us and the meeting went well.
Then, after lunch time, we now start the prototyping of the CMS in Figma.
Day 11 (February 19, 2025)
For the
eleventh day, we just did the prototype of the system that we will be making. Yesterday
it was stated by Ma’am Llovido that the CMS project was approved by the ICTO
Director Sir Aris, after she asked if we should do that project. She also
stated that it must feel like or be like the Bicol University Website. Because
of that, we redid some of the stuff in our prototype to make the design of the
system look similar to the Bicol University Website. So, for that day we did
the basic structure of the Landing Page and the About Us Page.
Day 12 (February 20, 2025)
For the
twelfth day, we continued in creating the prototype the CMS in Figma. We also
used the smart television in order as a separate screen for the whole prototype
and use it as like a whiteboard. With that we can easily see that changes as
well as easily point out any suggestion or any changes we could do for the
prototype. For that day we did the Article List Page and the Article Page as
well as adding some changes to the Featured section in the Landing Page. Before
we went home, with the help of the television, we also presented the prototype
to some of the staff and our mentors on what we have created in order to get
feedback and improve the design of the system.
Day 13 (February 20, 2025)
For the
thirteenth day, we stopped in creating the mockup for the CMS. For this day we were
tasked to do clerical work first since RDE has some deadlines to meet which
required our assistance by organizing files, printing documents, and scanning
paperwork, all of which were accessed
and uploaded to Google Drive. We divided the tasks between us, where one scans the
documents and another prints the documents in the Google Drive. My task was to
print the documents, add remarks indicating whether they had been printed, and
check for any necessary modifications, like deleting certain pages or ensuring
that abstracts were included. Another was also tasked to create certificates as
well as e-poster. Aside from our tasks, the weather was pretty bad at that time.
It rained heavily to the point that classes were suspended, leading to our
somewhat early dismissal.
